Seven Laguna Blanca boys will be competing in the CIF finals Saturday at Mount San Antonio College. It’s the first time the Owls have qualified for CIF finals and they’re the only Santa Barbara team to earn a place in the competition.

Freshman Parker Lilly and junior Kevin Lunn will pace the squad, which includes seniors Loren Risley and Sean Shoemaker, juniors Zach Campbell and Jeffrey Shultz, and freshman Elliot Serbin.
“The returning runners have improved their times from last year by over two minutes on the exact same courses,” said coach Laurie Burkhardt. “Hard work and year-round running are obviously paying off now.”
