Santa Barbara local Leo Metzger and Vicente Rodriguez of Folsom will head into the final day of the Santa Barbara City Golf Championship tied two strokes ahead of the field after solid rounds on Sunday.
Metzger and Rodriguez both sit at eight-under-par after 36 holes with one more round to go on Monday at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
The leading duo will be joined by defending SB City Golf champion Hudson Vedder (-6) and Ryan Gay (-5) in the final group, which will tee off at 9:15 a.m. and finish at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Metzger opened his weekend on Saturday with a six-under-par round before shooting a two-under-par 68 on Sunday, while Rodriguez has carded a four-under-par 66 in both rounds.
Gay is tied for fourth place in the Championship Flight alongside Nathaniel Frink and Chris Gregoire.
Net Flights
Dave Maples sits atop the Men’s Hogan Flight at three-over-par, a one stroke lead over Jack Alzina. Dylan Streett and Dominic Manfredi are tied for third at five-over-par.
In the Men’s Nicklaus Flight, Jeff Forster holds a strong lead after combining for one-over-par across the first two days. Nick Morello (+4) is in second, while Jake Enrio, Mike Mier and Wes Anderson are all tied for third at eight-over-par.
The Men’s Palmer Flight is set to come down to the wire, as the trio of Quinn Kyle, Shawn Andrews and Yogi Ten find themselves knotted up at five-over-par with 18 holes to play.
Chizuko Boberg will enter the final round of the Women’s Patty Berg Flight in the lead at two-over-par, while Heather McGinnis (+5) and Sheri Dean (+9) round out the top three.
The first group will tee off at 7 a.m. on Monday, with groups following in nine-minute increments.
