The Lompoc Parks & Recreation invites community members to put on their dancing shoes and register for the Mother Son Luau which takes place over two nights, 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at Anderson Recreation Center, 125 W. Walnut Ave.
Tickets are $30 per pair per night; each additional child in the same family costs $15 each. Due to the popularity of this event, pre-registration is required.
The dance is for boys, ages 3-17, and a woman in their life, whether that’s their mom, aunt, grandma, or other special person.
The occasion allows those female guardians to spend a night of dancing and fun with their son. Refreshments and leis for each pair will be provided and are included in the ticket price.
Other novelty items will be sold, and professional portrait packages by Maria Vega Photography will be available for separate purchase beginning at 5 p.m.
For more information or to buy tickets, contact the Lompoc Parks and Recreation Division, 805-875-8100, or visit Anderson Recreation Center, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.
Tickets can also be purchased online at www.apm.activecommunities.com/LompocRecreation.
