The Santa Barbara Public Library invites job seekers to the State Street Job Fair, 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, in the 700 and 800 blocks of State Street, between Ortega and Canon Perdido streets.
Participants will have an opportunity to connect with more than 100 employers seeking committed, hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to fill immediate openings in various organizations and industries in the Santa Barbara area.

Complimentary food and drinks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and there will be a chance to win a $25 gas card.
Leading up to the job fair, the Santa Barbara Library and participating agencies are offering workshops designed to assist individuals seeking employment by enhancing their résumé writing skills and getting the most out of attending a job fair.
Workshop topics include interview preparations, resume creation, job research, job fair readiness, and cover letter best practices.
Workshops presented in English will take place in the Central Library’s Faulkner East Gallery, 40 E. Anapamu St. The Resume Writing Workshop will be 2-3 p.m Tuesday, Sept. 19. Top Tips for Job Fair Success, also 2-3 p.m., will be Wednesday, Sept. 20.
For Spanish-speaking participants, workshops will be at the Eastside Library, 1102 E. Montecito St. Resume Writing will be 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21; and Top Tips for Job Fair Success, 2-3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22.
To secure a spot at the State Street Job Fair, registration is suggested by visiting the library’s event calendar.
The State Street Job Fair is organized by the library, in collaboration with Workforce Development Board of Santa Barbara County, Downtown Santa Barbara, Visit Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce, America’s Job Center of California, and Santa Barbara City College.
