February 4, 1946-April 20, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Charis Fareed, who was called home by the Lord on April 20, 2026.

Linda Charis Fareed was a second-generation rancher, a law clerk, business leader, world traveler and proud UCLA alumna — but her favorite titles were wife and mother.

To those who knew her, she was a force of nature — dynamic, vivacious, selfless, strong and gracious.

She lived with unwavering conviction, held herself and those she loved to the highest ethical and moral standards, and approached every challenge with determination beyond measure.

Her spirit was larger than life itself. In many ways, her flesh simply could not keep pace with the extraordinary strength of her soul.

Her greatest fulfillment came from enriching the lives of those around her. Whether through her generosity, her encouragement, her wisdom or simply her presence, she left every person she encountered better than she found them.

She was a beacon of light whose impact reached far beyond what she ever realized.

To her family, she was everything. She was a devoted wife and mother, cherished friend, trusted confidante, and unwavering source of love and support.

She celebrated the victories of those she loved as if they were her own and stood beside them through every hardship. Her love was steadfast, her loyalty unmatched, and her devotion limitless.

For her children, she was far more than a mother. She was a best friend, a mentor, a cheerleader, and at times their toughest critic — always because she believed in the greatness she saw within them.

Her devotion was extraordinary and unbreakable, rooted in a love that transcends this life.

A true renaissance woman and accomplished entrepreneur, her work ethic was exceptional and meticulous. She built a remarkable life defined by curiosity, ambition and achievement.

She was a second-generation California rancher, a law clerk, business leader, world traveler and proud UCLA graduate, having attended undergrad, law and business school at the university she loved.

Through vision, determination and an unwavering commitment to excellence, she built the life she imagined and embraced it fully.

She also had a lifelong passion for design and a remarkable ability to envision possibilities where others saw limitations, transforming spaces and environments with creativity, elegance and purpose.

Her distinctive personal style reflected the same eye for beauty, detail and refinement that shaped everything she touched.

Though her passing leaves an irreplaceable void, there is comfort in knowing that she departed this world with gratitude in her heart and enthusiasm in her spirit.

While it may not have been the timing her loved ones desired, it was God’s timing, and she faced her final days with the same grace, courage and appreciation for life that defined her journey.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the values she instilled and the love she gave so freely. She will be missed every day, remembered in every cherished memory, and felt in every moment of strength, kindness and joy inspired by her example.

While we grieve her absence, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that continues to shine. We take comfort in our faith, knowing that this goodbye is not forever and that one day we will be reunited with her again.

Until then, she remains forever in our hearts, our souls and our spirits.

May she rest in eternal peace.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Don; her son, Justin (Neyshia) Fareed; daughter Fatasha (Steve) Phares; sister Desi; and granddaughter Phaedra.
