Linda Silvestri passed away peacefully on Sept. 26, 2026 at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara surrounded by her family.

Born on Sept. 30, 1949 to David and Sarah Campos, Linda was raised in Carpinteria.

She graduated from Carpinteria High School and worked for the Santa Barbara News-Press for many years.

Throughout her life, she selflessly devoted herself to helping others, touching many lives with her kindness and generosity.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Kristen Blue Silvestri.

She is survived by her brother David; sisters Vickie and Rosemary; daughter Jessica; granddaughter Aleah; great-grandson J.R.; and many beloved nieces and a nephew.

Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Linda are invited to join us in honoring and remembering her.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 at St. Joseph Church, 1532 Linden Ave., Carpinteria.

Mass and funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, also at St. Joseph Church. A graveside service and reception will follow at Carpinteria Cemetery.
