Lisa Rose Taff

Lisa Rose Taff joined her Heavenly Father on June 18, 2026, at the age of 77.

Lisa was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life was defined by faith, love and unwavering dedication to her family.

She was born on Aug. 4, 1948, in Inglewood California, to Jean and Steve Kosztics. Lisa was the middle of her loving two sisters Ilona and Lorraine.

Lisa attended Canoga Park High School, where she met the love of her life Alfred “Bill” W. Taff.

After graduating high school, she attended Pierce College for one year, before marrying Bill in December 1967. Together, they built a life filled with love, faith and countless adventures.

Throughout her life, Lisa embraced every chapter with strength and grace. She was very proud of the time she and Bill spent during the Vietnam war, living in Alaska; while he served in the United States Air Force.

She also took pride in the many years she spent as a pediatric medical assistant, working with Dr Joseph and Sue Delgado in Santa Barbara.

Lisa was gifted with many artistic talents. She was a skilled ceramics potter, an amazing oil painter, and a self-taught pianist. She loved working in and growing large gardens every year, and she was a fantastic cook.

Lisa was an expert snow skier, and water skier. She loved fishing, and camping with her family and friends at Lake Nacimiento, and in the Eastern Sierra.

Her love of the ocean was evident in her many paintings of ocean scenery and seascapes. She loved living near the beach in Carpinteria, and she and Bill spent a great deal of their time there.

Above all else, Lisa’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was raising her five children Donald, Rebecca, Andy, Jamie and Carrie. She was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother throughout her life.

Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and they remained the focus of her life with Bill. She was known to say, you love them all equally, and you love them unconditionally.

Her family continued to grow, with 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Lisa was a woman of deep faith who loved her heavenly father and lived each day with honor, honesty, kindness and integrity. Her unwavering belief in God guided the way she loved others and the example she set for everyone who knew her.

Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, compassion, and unconditional love will live on through her family and all whose lives she touched.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1501 Linden Ave., Carpinteria.
