Locals descended upon Goleta to compete in the Monday Night Time Trial bike race on Monday, continuing the 36th year of the tradition.
The race, which is a 10-mile course throughout Goleta, begins at the South Coast Railway Museum on Los Carneros Road and ends at Dos Pueblos High School.
Brandon Baker captured first place in Monday’s race, crossing the finish line with a time of 22:48.
Meanwhile, Jaden Moore took second place by finishing in 24:15 and Felix rounded out the top three with a time of 24:27.
Kat Copeland was the first woman to finish, registering a time of 27:23 to place 16th overall.
The Monday Night Time Trial season will continue with two more races on Monday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Oct. 13. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age group in October.
