The city of Lompoc has opened the upgraded River Park RV Campground, adding full-hookup campsites and modernized amenities to the existing campground near Highway 246.
The opening follows a multiyear effort to improve the campground at 151 River Park Road in Lompoc, including renovations approved by the City Council in May 2024. According to a city news release Wednesday, the work included renovations to older campsites and the addition of restrooms, hot showers, picnic tables, fire pits and a dump station.
The campground, operated by Parks and Recreation, now includes 35 full-hookup spaces, each accommodating RVs up to 50 feet long and one additional vehicle per site. Campers have access to walking trails, playgrounds and Kiwanis Lake — a small fishing and wildlife pond located inside River Park.
The campground offers nightly stays as well as weekly prepaid options for up to three consecutive weeks. Dump station access is also available without an overnight reservation.
More information about reservations, rules and current fees is available on the city’s Parks & Recreation website or by calling 805-875-8100 during business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
