Police officers in Lompoc arrested an 18-year-old man suspected of firing a weapon in a business last month.
On March 15, Lompoc Police Department officers responded to a report of a physical altercation at a business in the 700 block of North H Street, Sgt. Scott Morgan said.
While officers were en route, they learned that gunshots had been fired, Morgan added.
Officers talked to victims and witnesses at the scene, learning no one was injured in the shooting.
During the follow-up investigation, detectives identified the shooting suspect as Jael Armenta Ramirez of Lompoc, securing a search and arrest warrant for his arrest.
At approximately 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, detectives located Armenta Ramirez and took him into custody without incident, Morgan said.
During the arrest, detectives also located a firearm in the vehicle he was driving, Morgan added.
