
Bryan Dillard of the Lompoc Police Department (LPD) has been promoted to lieutenant.
Dillard started his career with LPD in 1996 as a reserve officer, and became a full-time police officer in 1999.
In February 2007, he was promoted to corporal, and in July 2009, he was promoted to sergeant.
During his time with the Lompoc Police Department, Dillard served on the SWAT team for 16 years (2002-18), and retired from the SWAT team as a SWAT team commander.
He was a Rangemaster from 2005-22 and retired as the head Rangemaster.
Among his accomplishments, Dillard also teaches at the Allan Hancock Police Academy.
“For all these reasons and more, including an astounding work ethic, we congratulate him on this achievement, and we are beyond thrilled to have Lt. Dillard as part of our command staff,” the Police Department said.
