Lorraine Caroline Freeman passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024 in Santa Barbara.

Lorraine was born in Red Bluff, California, on Jan. 30, 1934 to Thelma Charlotte (Buck) and Robert Virgil Beauchamp. She was one of six children.

Lorraine graduated high school in Elsinore, California. She met and married James D. Freeman on Aug, 28, 1954, and started their life in Santa Barbara.

After marriage, Lorraine became a stay-at-home mom, raising six children and spent many years babysitting most of her 15 grandchildren.

Lorraine participated in bowling leagues, she enjoyed sewing, music, and cake decorating.

Lorraine is survived by her brother Bob Beauchamp; sisters Betty Mummy and Donna East; her children Joy Whitefoot (Dave), JoAnn Freeman, Jimbo Freeman, Jay Freeman; 15 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim Freeman; eldest daughter Janette Martinez and youngest daughter Jinger Robinett; her sister Nancy Taylor and brother Arthur Beauchamp.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. April 19 at Calvary Cemetery, 199 N. Hope Ave., Santa Barbara. Friends and family are welcome. Reception to follow at Mulligans Café, 3500 McCaw Ave., Santa Barbara.
