Lotusland is extending its support to Los Angeles County residents affected by the devastating wildfires by offering complimentary admission for wildfire evacuees, and reduced rates for others impacted by the fires.

The special admission offers are valid only Feb. 1-2, and are designed to provide a moment of respite, reflection, and healing in nature during this challenging time.

The complimentary admission is for Los Angeles County residents who have received mandatory evacuation orders. Evacuees must present their official evacuation notice upon arrival to receive free entry.

Lotusland is also offering a reduced admission rate for Los Angeles County residents impacted by the fires, as well as Santa Barbara County residents hosting evacuees or families affected by the wildfires.

Residents eligible for the reduced admission rate can visit Lotusland Feb. 1-2, for $30 (regular general admission is $60).

Complimentary admission will be granted to evacuees upon presentation of an official evacuation notice; others must present valid ID with an eligible ZIP code or proof of Santa Barbara County residency to access the reduced rate.

Visitors on Feb. 1 can experience a peaceful moment with live flute music performed by Bob Sedivy in the Japanese Garden Saturday afternoon, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and reflection.




This initiative is supported by members of Lotusland’s Board of Trustees and reflects a larger community effort to assist those impacted by the wildfires.

Lotusland also recognizes Visit Santa Barbara for coordinating these efforts and providing resources to evacuees, including a comprehensive list of special lodging rates, additional assistance, and complimentary experiences.

“Many of those affected by the fires are being hosted by friends and family in Santa Barbara or taking advantage of the special lodging rates arranged by Visit Santa Barbara,” said Mari Mitchell, president of the Ganna Walska Lotusland Board of Trustees. “We’re proud to join this community-wide effort to provide a space for healing and reflection.”

Lotusland’s official public tours begin Feb. 15, and the booking calendar is open for reservations for the February-March season. Regular tickets for general visitors are available through the standard reservation system.
