On Thursday, September 19, 2019, our beloved mother, Madaline Villa-Sanchez, passed into the Lord’s hands and her suffering has ended.
She was born in Carpinteria on Sept. 30, 1944. All those who knew her understood her profound love of the Lord and how through her suffering, she understood the suffering of others.
As Pope Benedict stated, “The cross reminds us that there is no true love without suffering, there is no gift of life without pain.” Our mother understood this all too well and endured her suffering with true love.
There are few ardent believers in God’s Grace and our mother was one of them. She offered up her suffering to God and offered reassurances to those around her that if you trust in the Lord, He will lift you up.
Madaline is survived by her husband José Sanchez; her sons Anthony and Randy Villa (wife Eden); daughter in law Jeniffer; and her beloved grandchildren Ariel, Abigail, Albert III, Andrew, Elizabeth, Henry, Isabella, Jessa, Jacob, Nolan, Rebecca, and great granddaughter Emilia.
Madaline was preceded in death by her husband Albert Villa Sr., her son Albert Villa Jr. and daughter Shirley Anne Villa.
A viewing we be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 30 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Carpinteria. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11: 15 a.m.
Arrangements entrusted to Pueblo del Rey Funeral Services.
