Maker House, a community arts studio in Goleta will host an autumn Maker Market, noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1351 Holiday Hill Road.
This family event will showcase local artists, and give guests a chance to tour the state-of-the-art ceramic arts and 3D fabrication facilities. Visitors can also learn more about the classes and workshops offered at the studio.
Maker Market artists will show work in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, jewelry, and visual arts, and offer their handmade pieces for sale.
Throughout the day, attendees are invited to participate in Raku firings, a traditional Japanese ceramic firing technique, where they can glaze and fire their own pottery.
The event will also feature live music and refreshments.
