A man was airlifted to the hospital with major injuries Thursday night after a rollover crash on Palmer Road south of Santa Maria. 

At 11:40 p.m., a man driving a Honda Accord crashed on the 6600 block of Palmer Road and was trapped inside the car, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department said. 

He was extricated from the wreckage and airlifted by a CalStar helicopter to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria.

His name and details on his condition were not available.

The crash was under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
