A man was arrested in Santa Barbara on Saturday after a gun was discharged from an apartment into an adjacent business.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., police dispatchers received a report of a gunshot on the 300 block of East Haley Street, according to Cmdr. Kasi Corbett of the Santa Barbara Police Department.
The caller indicated they had heard the gunshot about an hour earlier, then reported it to police after finding a spent shell casing, Corbett told Noozhawk.
Investigators subsequently determined that the gunshot had been discharged from an upstairs apartment, Corbett said, adding that no one was injured.
On Saturday afternoon, officers arrested Adan Abrajan, 29, on suspicion of being a felon in possession of ammunition and brass knuckles.
He was being booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail, with bail set at $35,000.
Investigation into the incident was continuing, Corbett said, and further charges against Abrajan were possible.
