A man found unresponsive in Alameda Park Friday morning was declared deceased and there will be an investigation into the death, the Santa Barbara Police Department said.
City police, fire and paramedic crews responded to the 1400 Santa Barbara St. park around 10 a.m. Friday.
A 65-year-old man was lying on the ground near a bench on the south side of the park, and did not have a pulse, police officials said in a statement.
Responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said there are no indications of foul play.
The man’s identity was not disclosed, pending notification of next of kin.
No additional information was available.
