Marian M. Petersen passed peacefully on May 1, 2025. A beloved mother, grandmother and friend.

Marian was born on Sept. 28, 1932, in Roseland Nebraska. She was the youngest of nine children of Frank and Louisa Mangers. She enjoyed her childhood growing up in small town middle America. She met her future husband Delbert L. Petersen at a barn dance. Soon they married and had three boys.

Delbert, Marian and the boys moved to Santa Barbara in 1958 for work and warmer weather. Once settled they completed their family with baby Jack. As the boys grew, Marian worked in a cafeteria for the Santa Barbara school system. They had active boys playing sports and enjoying Lake Nacimiento to all it had to offer.

Marian is proceeded in death by her parents and all but one sister Lucille; she is also preceded by her son Danny and beloved husband Delbert.

She is survived by her three sons – Dale (Debbie), Gene (Roberta), and Jack (Doreen); her seven grandchildren, Jason (Christy), Riana (Alex), David (Jessica), Kelley, Jamie (Mike) Wyatt (Kloy), Clayton (Morgan) and 15 great grandchildren.

She will be interned at Calvary Cemetery in Santa Barbara next to her beloved husband Delbert’s grave.

One hour viewing Tuesday, May 13 at 8:30 a.m. Burial at 11 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Santa Barbara.
