The Montecito Family YMCA, a branch of the Channel Islands YMCA has elected Marta Quintero to its Board of Managers.
Quintero, a Santa Barbara area native, has 20 years of banking experience serving both small community banks and larger financial institutions from Goleta to Oxnard. In 2018, she joined Women’s Economic Ventures, a nonprofit leading provider of microenterprise development services to women along California’s Central Coast.
Quintero enjoys giving back to her community and is active in several organizations. She previously sat on the executive board of the Santa Barbara Men’s Central Coast Soccer League, where she became the first female board president.
In 2020, she was a Pacific Coast Times Non-Profit Awardee of their Latino Business Awards.
Quintero is currently an ambassador with the South Coast Chamber of Commerce, and an executive board member at the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
She said she is excited to be nominated to the Montecito Y Board as she is especially passionate about providing safe spaces for children to grow and learn.
Quintero joins other Montecito Family YMCA board members including Dan O’Keefe (chair), Rob Adams, George Armstrong, Susan Basler, Mike Denver, Gabriella Garcia, Andy Grant, Anthony Hernandez, Martin Mielko, Mike Shimada, Bharat Singh, Lora Taylor, and Tim Werner.
