A May Day Rally and March, sponsored by a coalition of community organizations, including Lompoc Indivisible, will take place 2 p.m. Friday, May 1.
“The people of Lompoc will gather and march to demonstrate that in America, the power belongs to the people,” organizers said.
The rally will begin at College Park (adjacent to the skate park), West College Avenue and J Street, and end with a march on the sidewalk to H Street.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action, organizers said.
“We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events,” they said.
