The Cottage Heart & Vascular Center presents a free Virtual Meet the Doctor event featuring board-certified vascular surgeon Dr. Michael Paisley, who will lead a conversation on peripheral artery disease (PAD), 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23.
PAD is a common yet often overlooked circulatory condition in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs.
Dr. Paisley will discuss how symptoms such as poor circulation, numbness or pain in the feet or legs may be signs of PAD. Attendees will learn about:
- Common risk factors for PAD.
- Warning signs and symptoms.
- Strategies for prevention and treatment.
The event will also feature a Q&A session, providing participants the opportunity to have their questions answered directly by Dr. Paisley in a confidential setting.
