The evening fundraiser was followed the next morning by the 7th Annual Peace of Mind Walk, where more than 225 walkers gathered at the base of Alma Rosa’s 628-acre estate to wind through the hillside vineyards in an approximately 4.5-mile journey, followed by wine tastings and live music.

The gala, themed The Power of Connection, netted more than $500,000 to support the Mental Wellness Center’s programs and services, which provide education, advocacy, housing and resources for individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges.

“One Shining Night — The Power of Connection was truly extraordinary,” said Annmarie Cameron, Mental Wellness Center’s CEO. “To see such a beautiful evening come together, filled with generosity, compassion and community spirit, was incredibly moving.

“The fact that this was only our second annual One Shining Night gala and that we achieved our fundraising goal is a remarkable accomplishment. We were honored by the tremendous turnout and deeply grateful for the many supporters who joined us and invested in the future of mental health services in our community.”

The evening honored the Kelly Family as the event’s Rising Star honorees, recognizing how a single act of care can grow into a lasting legacy of impact that spans three generations, that include Karen Kelly, her triplets Charlotte, Dawson and Patrick, and her mother Judy Nilsen who teaches art at the Fellowship Club.

Patrick Kelly spoke on behalf of his family, offering gratitude for the award and underscoring the importance of openness, connection and family support when it comes to sharing one’s mental health challenges.

Sisters Belle Hahn and Lily Hahn Shining were recognized as Shining Star honorees for their longtime dedication and support of the organization’s mission.

In one of the evening’s most moving moments, Belle Hahn shared her own personal experience with mental health challenges, crediting her sister Lily Hahn Shining, and their mother for helping her through a difficult period in her life.

She also credited Mental Wellness Center as a vital community resource, noting the strength of its programs and the support it provides to individuals and families when they need it most.

Guests gathered at Alma Rosa Winery for an evening of dinner, community and storytelling, including remarks from event speaker Gabriella Taylor. Taylor is known for her work with founders, philanthropists, and visionary leaders seeking meaningful and lasting change.

Proceeds from One Shining Night will help advance the Mental Wellness Center’s ongoing work to support youth, adults and families through education, peer support, family advocacy and community-based mental health programming.

Marquee sponsors included Belle Hahn and Bob and Barb Zorich, owners of Alma Rosa Winery, who have championed MWC’s mission for years and supported the organization’s annual Peace of Mind Walk for seven consecutive years.
