Michael Patrick Brady, 69, passed away peacefully on Feb. 16, 2026 at his home in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He was born in San Francisco, California, to Pat and Jim Brady on Sept. 6, 1956. He attended Lompoc schools.
Mike was a great friend and always there if you needed him.
Mike and his dad talked about sports all the time. He loved his family deeply, calling them often, spending time with family at his favorite place Miguelito Park.
Mike and his wife Janice loved to travel. They visited friends overseas in France and Ireland. When traveling within the United States they would leave Florida and visit friends on their way to California.
They also loved camp hosting in California, Oregon and several other areas.
Mike retired from Lockheed-Martin after more than 30 years of service. He built many lasting friendships in Cocoa Beach.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bob and Elissa Lower of Lompoc, and Iva Marshall and James T. Brady, both of the San Francisco area.
Mike is survived by his wife Janice; his parents; daughter Casey (Josh); granddaughter Elissa; grandson Benjamin; and sister Kellie Huyck.
When Mike married Janice, he gained three daughters Lori (Alex), Cindy (Jay) and Nonie (Ronnie), whom he loved as his own. He was also a proud grandfather to Tony, Stephanie and Nick, and a great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren who lovingly call Mike and Janice “The Greats.”
Mike also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and many dear friends.
Michael will be deeply missed. His laughter, his love of fun, and, of course, his devotion to the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.
We miss and love you, but “It is what it is.” (Mike’s favorite saying)
A celebration of life for Michael will be noon-3 p.m. March 22 at Cold Coast Brewery, 100 block of West Ocean Avenue, Lompoc.
