On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Michael “Mike” Andrade, 46, passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was born on Sept. 3, 1974.
Mike was raised in Santa Barbara, where he attended local schools and San Marcos High School. He then attended SBCC and San Diego State University.
Growing up, Mike participated in many sports and activities like soccer, baseball, wrestling and skateboarding.
Over the years, he was grateful to have made many lifelong friendships, many of whom he considered family, like Ernie, Adam and Kenji.
Mike loved spending time with family and friends, barbecuing, and sharing stories. His family was fortunate to have spent many yearly vacations together, where Nino Mike always kept the fun happening. He especially enjoyed spending time with Alina and Gabriel.
Mike was an avid fan of the Dodgers, the Raiders and NASCAR. He enjoyed target-shooting with his impressive firearm collection, and was always in the middle of repairing a car.
Mike was survived by his parents Patricia and Ron Andrade, grandmother Stella Avila, sister Lea (Andrade) Rodriguez, brother Jacob Andrade, nephew and godson Gabriel Rodriguez, and his niece Alina Rodriguez.
Mike will be forever in our hearts and profoundly missed. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and kind heart.
Due to COVID-19, there will be a private mass at St. Raphael Church and a private graveside service at Goleta Cemetery.
