One person was injured Sunday afternoon in a rollover crash on Highway 101 near Tajiguas on the Gaviota coast, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m., and involved a southbound SUV that rolled over and ended up on its side in the center median, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person sustained minor injuries and was taken by American Medical Response ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli said.
The individual’s identity and medical condition details were not available.
Two dogs that were in the SUV were turned over to county Animal Services, Bertucelli said.
There were reports that the vehicle was swerving and driving recklessly prior to the crash, the CHP said.
Traffic was slowed for a time in the area of the crash.
