Once a year, the community comes together for Science Night — two hours of free hands-on science activities for children, parents, grandparents and the general public — hosted by Montessori Center School (MCS), at 401 N. Fairview Ave., Goleta. This year’s event will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 2.

Exhibitors, who come throughout the Santa Barbara area, include a number of MCS families. This year’s exhibitors include:

MOXI, the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, Wildlife Care Network, Santa Barbara Natural History Museum, The Science of Bubbles, The Reef — Mobile Touch Tanks from UCSB Marine Science, Physics Circus from UCSB, Quest Boards.

Also, Body Organs presented by Dr. Wilson, It’s a Material World! from UCSB, Earthquake Simulator, Cow Eye Dissection presented by Eye & Vision Care, Montessori Center School’s own Tree Fun Facts, The Water Burger from Goleta Water District, Snakes and Reptiles, and Slime Making.
