Moorpark edged Dos Pueblos 2-1 on Friday night, spoiling the Chargers’ season opener in girls soccer.
Kamila Picket scored the DP goal on an assist by Giuliana Villano.
“We did not get the result we wanted, however, the girls were able to distribute the ball effectively and create opportunities,” said coach Seth Asuncion. “Even though the girls played well, there is still a lot of room for improvements that we hope to see in the coming games. Stand-out players tonight were Emila Kling, Gizela Zermeno and Kamila Picket.”
