MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation will host its signature fundraiser MOXI@Night, presented by Bank of America, 5:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
The event raises funds to support the museum’s educational programs and accessibility initiatives.
“This year’s NEON theme offers a prime opportunity to enjoy the museum in a whole new light,” the MOXI museum said.
The event opens with a cocktail reception, followed by rooftop dining and live music set against mountain and ocean views, and a live auction.
This year’s live auction features five exclusive items, including a private Fourth of July party on MOXI’s rooftop and a once-in-a-lifetime experience with Curb Your Enthusiasm creator and star Larry David.
Auction winners will have the chance to appear as an extra in David’s upcoming HBO sketch comedy series about American history; enjoy a personal meet-and-greet with David; and get an insider’s look with a visit to the set.
The party continues with a late-night lounge and live sitar music, and dancing at the signature silent disco. Guests are encouraged to embrace the NEON theme with bright, colorful attire.
All proceeds from MOXI@Night support STEAM learning opportunities and expanded access for children across the community.
“This one night can make all the difference in providing reduced or free admission for thousands of underserved students, teachers and families,” according to MOXI.
MOXI’s accessibility programs include reduced or no-cost field trips for Title I schools; Community Access Program, which provides free admission for family service agencies and public libraries; Museums for All, which grants $1 admission for CalFresh EBT cardholders; and an after-school program that brings MOXI for free to local students who may not otherwise be able to visit.
A limited number of single tickets and sponsorships are still available.
MOXI offers thanks to Presenting Sponsor Bank of America for its ongoing support of MOXI.
