Nancy Dooley was born Jan. 9, 1938, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Rosa Lee Walker Dooley and Eugene Dooley.

At the age of two, her family moved to Santa Barbara, where she later raised her children and became the heart of many cherished family memories.

Nancy Dooley peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 9, 2025, surrounded by love and comfort.

She is survived by her children Luvell Dooley of Los Angeles, California, Pam Hudson (John) of Lompoc, California, and Sabrina Jordan (Anthony) of Lompoc; grandchildren Britanii, Jennifer, Sheridan, Kenneth and Terenika; great-grandchildren Ava, Azriel and Major; and her “daughter of love” Ellen Eskridge.

Nancy will be remembered for her strength, laughter, and one-of-a-kind spirit by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at Greater Hope Baptist Church, 430 E. Figueroa St., Santa Barbara; Rev. J.B. Ficklin, pastor.
