The Santa Barbara National Charity League (NCL) will honor 26 graduating high school seniors for their philanthropic participation at Senior Recognition “Solid Gold,” April 16 at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort.
Some 400 family members and friends will be present to recognize the students’ service and leadership in the community over the past six years, and celebrate their prospect of a promising future.
The 2023 NCL Senior Class has accumulated nearly 1,400 hours of volunteering in 2023 alone, and over 6,500 hours since their membership began in 2017, supporting more than 20 local nonprofit organizations.
The mission of NCL is to foster the mother-daughter relationship through an ongoing commitment to philanthropy, culture and leadership.
The Senior Recognition program includes a fashion show, directed by Julie Walsmith, in which junior and senior class members of NCL will model clothing from local boutiques.
The girls will conclude the evening with a dance with their father or VIP.
NCL thanks its president Becky Kracke, the chairs of Senior Recognition “Solid Gold” Allison Marcillac and Brynn Wolf, Santa Barbara Dance Arts, and Encore Production.
Thanks also to local businesses Angel Montecito, Wendy Foster State Street, Wendy Foster Sports Wear, Misbehavin’, Whistle Club, Whiskey & Leather, Dylan Star, Marcus, Lovebird, Deep Blue Bikini Co, and Love Worn.
