The community is invited to join a National Day of Action rally supporting Single Payer Health Care, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at De La Guerra Plaza in Santa Barbara.

Participates can bring a sign or arrive early and make one on site.

Former State Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson will be speaking, and the group will march to U.S. Rep. Salud Carbajal’s office.

Several local organizations have been invited to be part of the event, including Indivisible, Democratic Socialists of America, Community Environmental Council, and Physicians For a National Health Program.

“Donald Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ is only going to make our health care system worse, so if you support a better health care system in the United States, then join us at the rally,” organizers said.
