NeuroField Neurotherapy, Inc.
Question: What is the name of your business or practice?
Answer: NeuroField Neurotherapy, Inc.
Q: Can you describe what services or products your business or practice offers?
A: At NeuroField Neurotherapy, we provide a comprehensive suite of services that are all designed to enhance and optimize brain function. This begins with state-of-the-art Electroencephalograph (EEG) brain scans and cognitive assessments that allow us to fully understand the unique complexities of each individual’s brain. These detailed evaluations inform our tailored approach to treatment, utilizing cutting-edge modalities such as neurostimulation, photobiomodulation (PBM), pulsed electromagnetic frequencies (pEMF), and vagus stimulation, all of which work to gently and non-invasively adjust brainwave patterns for improved mental wellbeing. Our neurotherapy treatment is based on computational neuroanalysis, and being able to adjust those brainwaves provide brain health optimization. We can locate most of the symptom you are experiencing to the brain region it is arising from and address the source, not just suppress the symptom.
We also incorporate additional therapies such as hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy that heals the body at a cellular level by inhaling 100% pure medical grade oxygen in a total body chamber where atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled.
Psychotherapy is another crucial component of our approach, providing emotional and mental health support that complements our more technologically-driven methods. All these services combined give us the capacity to offer a holistic and individualized treatment plan, one that aligns with our commitment to fostering improved mental clarity, cognitive function, and overall brain health.
Q: What kind of training, education, or certifications do you hold?
A: Our team consists of highly qualified and extensively trained professionals in the field of neurotherapy. Both Dr. Tiff Thompson and Dr. Nick Dogris are Santa Barbara’s only Quantitative EEG Diplomates (QEEG-D) from the QEEG Certification Board (meaning that their interpretations of brain maps are valid and certified). Tiff is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Board Certified in Neurotherapy, and a Registered EEG Technician. She holds two Masters degrees, one in Counseling Psychology and another in Communication. She has a PhD in Psychology; her doctoral research was on the intersection of psychodynamic psychology model of the psyche and electroencephalography (EEG). Tiff has served as the Executive Director of the Western Association of Biofeedback and Neuroscience and has worked as a neurodiagnostician in neurology clinics.
Dr. Nicholas Dogris is a licensed psychologist and specializes in Health Psychology, wellness, and mind body physiology. He is an expert in QEEG brain mapping, is board certified in neurotherapy.
Q: What makes your business or practice unique?
A: What truly distinguishes Neurofield Neurotherapy is our three hats as clinicians, inventors in the field of stimulation, and educators in the field of neurotherapy. We are at the forefront of the clinical application of neurotherapy. Based in Santa Barbara, we have on our team experienced board-certified and clinically-licensed providers, offering an array of neurotherapy services backed by neuroscience. Our dedication to utilizing the most cutting-edge technologies and methodologies allows us to deliver transformative care to our clients.
Beyond our clinical services, we’ve established an online school, contributing to the broader education in the field. This platform allows us to share our expertise and innovative tools with other clinicians worldwide, helping them integrate these advanced neurotherapy techniques into their own practices. In essence, we’re not just a local provider, but a global educator, driving forward the field of neurotherapy.
Q: Are your services covered by insurance? If you do not accept insurance, do you offer any payment plans or any financing options?
A: We accept insurance for our psychotherapy services only at this time and are discussing possibilities of getting our other treatment services covered by insurance in the future. We have a policy that finances should not be the only reason you are not pursuing treatment therefore we are dedicated to working to meet your specific needs.
Q: What are the benefits of the treatments / products you offer? Also, are there any risks associated with these treatments or products that the patients should be made aware of?
A: Our treatments offer numerous benefits to individuals seeking alternative approaches to their brain health, especially if they are wanting a non-medication approach. We have observed significant effectiveness in addressing a wide range of pathologies in all age groups, from kids to elderly adults. By the time the patient has finished 10 treatment sessions, there is a statistically significant change in the brain. The more sessions an individual does, the more noticeable changes observed. The common conditions we see include but are not limited to mood disorders such as anxiety or depression, sleep disorders, head injuries, ASD, cognitive decline or impairment, learning disabilities, and any other brain-related conditions. Not only do we see significant alleviation from those with troubling symptoms, we also see benefit from those that want to become better meditators, more focused thinkers, or even more stress-free individuals.
Our treatments are considered safe and non-invasive. Any side effects are temporary and very minimal such as fatigue or mild headaches. The best analogy for what we do is that we take your brain to the gym and have it work out for 30 -40 minutes a day at a minimum frequency of three times a week; fatigue is common when you think of it this way. Our experienced clinicians and neurotechnicians closely monitor patients throughout the treatment process to ensure you get the most effective and comfortable treatment possible.
Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for our patients, where they can truly see improvement and change.
Q: Do you have testimonials with past clients that you can share with our readers?
A: “I was heavily medicated to mitigate pain, seizures, anxiety and depression. I lived in an assisted living facility as a result of my mood swings, vertigo, migraines, and memory issues. I was devastated and experienced intense hopelessness and deep depression. I cannot claim to clinically describe what Tiff has done for me. What I will say is that I began to recognize a sustained clarity and great progress towards peace of mind and confidence in my reasoning. I now have no need to take drugs prescribed to manage my anxiety, depression, and seizures. The greatest benefit is a calmness that permits me to pursue my quest to be open minded. My mind is clear; any anxiety and depression are managed by a sustained peace.” –Leon D.
“Worth every blessed penny! I came in with severe CPTSD triggering. I could barely leave my house, let alone function day to day, due to how bad my startle reflex was. I was in a constant state of hyperarousal and hypervigilance. After the first three out of twelve intensive sessions, I had begun to see major positive changes! I can now function, and deal with my triggers much more effectively.” –Stephanie C.
“Working with Tiff through Neurotherapy took me from a place of anxiety and pain to a place of beauty. It was always there; she simply cleared the path.” –Jen R.
Q: Who is a good candidate for your type of treatments and/or services?
