Nick Nastrini threw five no-hit innings and struck out nine, and lead-off hitter Andrew Kachel paced the offense with three hits and a RBI, leading the Santa Barbara Foresters to a 7-1 baseball win over the OC Riptide on Saturday at Pershing Park.

Nastrini, a standout right-hander out of UCLA, fired 41 strikes out of 58 pitches in earning his second win of the season.  Cooper Randall (Oklahoma) and Gabriel Starks (Arkansas) each pitched two innings and allowed two hits. The Riptide scored a run off Starks in the ninth.

The Foresters improved to 4-1 in the California Collegiate League and 7-1 overall.

Jack Riedel (North Carolina) had two hits and a RBI and Tyler Casagrande (Arizona) and Max McGwire (Oklahoma) drove in runs.

The Foresters also capitalized on four Riptide errors.

Santa Barbara is back at Pershing Park on Sunday against the MLB Academy Barons at 2 p.m.
