Nikki Rickard

Nikki Rickard has been installed as the 2019-20 president of Assistance League of Santa Barbara (ALSB).

As an ALSB member for six years, she has served on the information technology and nominating committees, worked on the Christmas boutique, been workroom chair, and president-elect.

Rickard has a history of Santa Barbara community involvement, most recently volunteering on the boards of the Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinic, Cecilia Fund, and on the Cottage Hospital advisory committee.

As ALSB president, she will preside at meetings of the board and membership, sign legal documents, be an ex-officio member of committees, present an annual report of committee activities, and serve as a liaison for the annual meetings of the national chapter.

Rickard heads the board of directors which includes Chris Nelson, president-elect; Carolyn Dennis, vice president/membership; Ammon Hoenigman, vice president/philanthropic programs; and Janice Caesar, vice president/resource development.

Also on the board are: Judy Purcell, recording secretary; Judy Ritchie, corresponding secretary; Penny Luce, chief financial officer; Dianne Davis, education chair; Charlene Heinz, membership chair; Jane Atwater, public relations chair; Cheryl Gregory, strategic planning chair; Jacque Gamberdella, Assisteens liason; Nina Vergari, Las Aletas representative; and Sally Mathews. parliamentarian.

The Assistance League of Santa Barbara is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that develops and implements programs to benefit Santa Barbara County residents. The Assistance League Thrift Shop, 1259 Veronica Springs Road, raises funds to support the group’s philanthropic programs.
