One person was injured Friday night in a residential structure fire on the Santa Ynez Reservation, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched shortly after 8:30 p.m. to the fire on the 100 block of Willow Circle, fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli said.

Crews made an aggressive interior attack on the flames and were able to quickly knock down the fire, Bertucelli said.

One occupant suffered smoke inhalation, Bertucelli said, adding that a dog and a cat were rescued from the home.

Firefighters remained on the scene assisting residents and overhauling the damaged home.

The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
