Santa Barbara senior Oliver McGibben’s walk-off RBI single, on a 1-0 pitch, in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Dons a 4-3 Channel League win over Lompoc on Friday.
Dons starter Luke Wechsler went six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out six and walking one.
Dane Dawson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Santa Barbara Dons varsity in hits.
The Dons finish in a tie for second place with Dos Pueblos at 11-4 in league play. San Marcos is the league champion after defeating Dos Pueblos 10-7 in 10 innings Friday. Lompoc finishes at 3-12.
