A little rain didn’t stop Santa Barbara’s Halloween weekend.

The region saw mild amounts of rain between Wednesday morning and Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Up in North County, Santa Maria saw .30 inches of rain, while Los Alamos saw .22 inches, Buellton saw .37 inches and Santa Ynez summit Sudden Peak saw 1.51 inches.

Down south, Santa Barbara saw .56 inches of rain, Carpinteria saw .48 inches and Goleta reported .25 inches during that same time period.

Montecito came in last at .02 inches.

Mountains and the foothills generally saw a bit more rain, with 1.26 inches reported at Bates Ridge, 1.15 inches at Figueroa Mountain, .59 inches at Refugio Pass and .79 inches at San Marcos Pass.

Countywide, people of all ages — some with umbrellas in hand — snagged last-minute pumpkins and gathered for trunk-and-treats or trick-or-treating.

Some on Sunday also hauled their pumpkins over to pumpkin smashes, where their Halloween decorations will be turned into compost or animal feed rather than ending up in the trash.
