Organic Soup Kitchen’s Distribution and Education Center at 126 E. Haley St., Santa Barbara, has been transformed into a winter wonderland with strings of twinkling lights, colorful ornaments and holiday sparkle for a festive holiday atmosphere for clients and the community.
“We’re excited to share the merry and bright holiday spirit of the season with our community,” said Andrea Slaby, COO at Organic Soup Kitchen.
“Our intention was to create a warm and festive environment for our clients who may not get to experience the magic and festivities of the season. Everyone is welcome,” she said.
Organic Soup Kitchen is a nonprofit organization committed to organic food for all. Through education, advocacy and programs, the agency provides nutrition and food security to cancer patients, chronically ill and low-income individuals throughout Santa Barbara County.
The organization has served more than 3 million bowls of nutrient dense SoupMeals since 2009. Organic Soup Kitchen is one of only 1% of nonprofits in the U.S. to achieve platinum status on Guidestar.
