A: The Maker’s Son is the perfect venue in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country for weddings, rehearsal dinners and welcome receptions. Our venue also hosts anniversaries, birthday celebrations, graduations, charity events and corporate functions.
Q: Can you share any testimonials from past clients that you have worked with?
A: We are happy to provide reference lists of clients upon request.
Q: What is your payment structure and cancellation policy? Do you charge any travel or overtime fees?
A: Our payment structure varies depending on size of event and time of advance booking. Deposits are non-refundable and we do not charge any travel or overtime fees.
Q: Do you have liability insurance?
A: Yes.
Q: What size weddings do you typically work with?
A: Our venue is flexible with multiple wedding spaces to accommodate weddings of 25 to 150 guests. For non-wedding events, we can accommodate up to 250 guests.
Q: Do you require a minimum number of hours for a booking?
A: No minimum number of hours is required.
Q: Do you provide your own equipment or work with other vendors?
A: The Maker’s Son is largely turn-key and provides ceremony chairs, farm-style dining tables with cross-back chairs, farm-style cocktail tables, China, silverware, glassware, service-ware, as well as linen napkins.
Q: How far in advance do you recommend clients book with you?
A: The Maker’s Son recommends booking 8 to 12 months in advance to best guarantee your preferred wedding date.
Q: What makes you different from your competitors?
A: The Maker’s Son has a one-of-a-kind venue that is largely turn-key. We provide fantastic food and beverage packages for all budgets and tastes.
Q: What is your average cost?
A: Wedding prices can vary depending on the season, day of week, guest counts and menu options. Our average 100 guest Saturday wedding during peak season runs between $18,000 and $22,000, inclusive of our venue, food, beverages, gratuities and taxes.

Q: Do you provide a trial run before the wedding day?
A: We do offer rehearsal time slots.

A: Each event hosted by The Maker’s Son is a new memorable experience as we have the opportunity to work with beautiful couples from both local and afar in making their dream day come true.
