A traffic collision involving an overturned van and semi truck briefly blocked northbound Highway 101 traffic in Montecito Monday morning.

The Montecito Fire Department responded to the crash near Sheffield Drive just after 6 a.m.

No one was injured in the collision, but both northbound lanes were shut down until 7:20 a.m. due to the van blocking both lanes, department officials said.

Granite Construction crews working on the highway project were able to use some heavy equipment to help clear the vehicle from the roadway.

The California Highway Patrol, American Medical Response, Carpinteria-Summerland Fire and also responded to the incident.
