Pacific Pride Foundation will host its 8th annual PROUD Prom, 3:30-5 p.m. Saturday, April 24, as a virtual event.
UGG and Pacific Pride Foundation have reimagined the tradition with PROUD Prom, an inclusive event that celebrates self-identity and love with local LGBTQIA+ and allied youth from Santa Barbara and California’s coastal communities.
This year’s event will be broadcasted virtually, and provides opportunities for youth and adults to experience an hour of impact and celebration.
The PROUD Prom will also feature guest speakers including two-time Grammy Award-winning musician Lil Nas X; SAG Award-nominated actress and writer Hari Nef; and Alexis Martin Woodall, president of Ryan Murphy Productions.
The PROUD Prom will also feature local drag performances, and musical dance breaks.
With support from UGG, this year’s PROUD Prom is free for all participants, but requires advance registration. Visit www.pacificpridefoundation.org/prom for more.
Pacific Pride Foundation provides programs and services to more than 10,000 people in Santa Barbara County and supports local LGBTQ+ youth with activities and resources year-round.
Programs include regular PROUD Youth and PROUD Youth of Color group meetings, summer leadership opportunities, in-school academic and social support, and the annual PROUD Prom. Visit www.pacificpridefoundation.org.
