San Marcos’ Shams Jahangir-Arshad and Leo Metzger both shot a 4-under 66 to share medalist honors in a 373-419 win over Santa Ynez Thursday at the Santa Barbara Golf Club.
The 66 was a career-best match round for Jahangir-Arshad.
Rye Winans led Santa Ynez with a 74.
Brody Ricci and Connor Loyst also shot their best match rounds today for San Marcos.

Dos Pueblos beats Ventura
Dos Pueblos freshman Teddy Vigna shot an even-par 71 at Glen Annie Golf Club Thursday to earn medalist honors in a 391-443 victory over Ventura.
The rest of the Charger scorers — Ruben Mendoza, Andrew Gentry, Scott Nightingale and Laith Reynolds — all shot an 80.
Nathan Long topped Ventura’s golfers with an 82.
“I am proud of the boys for breaking 400 as a team, a goal of ours from last year,” Charger coach Kevin Ahlers said. “This was our first time playing the back nine at Glen Annie, and I am excited what these players can do through out the season.”
Dos Pueblos, 2-1 on the season, next plays against Camarillo at Los Posas on Tuesday.
