Children’s Resource & Referral (CRR) invites the community to its Party with a Purpose Benefit Concert featuring Bullfrogg Blues Band, in support of children entering emergency foster care in Santa Barbara County.
The event, 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at The Blast Stockyard, Orcutt, will feature live music and local food from Blast 825.
All proceeds benefit CRR’s Heart to Home Resource Closet, which provides comfort items like pajamas, blankets, diapers, and car seats to children placed in emergency foster care.
“These are not just supplies, they’re first moments of safety. They’re warmth. They’re hope,” CRR said.
LA’s Bullfrogg Blues Band will play hits like “Johnny B. Goode,” “Sweet Caroline,” and “Black Magic Woman,” along with featured performances such as “I Feel the Earth Move,” “Hit the Road Jack,” and “Roll Over Beethoven.”
Bullfrogg Blues Band is an eight-piece ensemble known for its tight musicianship, expressive solos, and multi-vocal harmonies, the group includes: Neil “Bullfrogg” Werner, lead vocals and harmonica; Jim Scimonetti, saxophone; Teri Villani, vocals, violin; Bill Hawkins, Bass, vocals; Tony Capko, drums; France Hawkins, keys, vocals; Mark Burgess and Ric Ilejay, guitar, vocals.
