Children’s Resource & Referral of Santa Barbara County (CRR) will host its Party with a Purpose Benefit Concert, featuring the Bullfrogg Blues Band, 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at Blast 825 Stockyard in Old Orcutt.
The annual benefit brings together live music, dinner, dancing, and community giving, with all proceeds supporting CRR’s Heart to Home Resource Closet.
Heart to Home Resource Closet provides essential and comfort items to children entering emergency foster care throughout Santa Barbara County.
“For many children, entering foster care happens suddenly, with little time to gather clothing, personal belongings, or even the basic necessities that help a child feel safe and cared for,” event organizers said. “Heart to Home was created to help meet those immediate needs with dignity and compassion.”
Through the Resource Closet, children and caregivers can access clothing, pajamas, diapers, blankets, shoes, hygiene products, backpacks, stuffed animals, and other essential and comforting items during what can be an incredibly uncertain time in a child’s life.
“Party with a Purpose is really about what happens when a community decides to show up for children,” said Michelle Graham, CEO of Children’s Resource & Referral of Santa Barbara County.
“A child entering foster care may be experiencing one of the most difficult moments of their life,” she said. “Heart to Home allows us to respond with something tangible that says, ‘You matter. You are cared for. You are not walking through this moment alone.’ Every ticket purchased helps us continue that work.”
Attendees will enjoy four hours of live entertainment from the Bullfrogg Blues Band, offering a mix of blues, rock, soul, and crowd favorites that set the stage for an evening of music and dancing.
General admission tickets are $55 per person and include dinner and the concert experience. VIP cabanas are $800 and accommodate eight guests, offering groups, businesses, families, and friends an opportunity to enjoy the evening together while supporting local children.
