One person was injured after being struck by a vehicle in north Santa Maria on Monday night.
Shortly after 7 p.m., personnel from the Santa Maria Fire Department and Santa Maria Police Department along with an American Medical Response ambulance crew were dispatched for a report that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian near North Broadway and Orchard Street.
A CalStar medical helicopter also was requested.
One patient was transported with serious injuries, according to Santa Maria firefighters.
