Nicole Ramos has been promoted to the newly created position Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer (CHRAO) for People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH).
“After much collaboration to assess how the PSHH organizational structure supports our continued expansion, both in headcount, footprint, and the number of residents served, I’m excited and encouraged about this new position,” said Ken Trigueiro, CEO/president.
“Nicole has great respect and admiration among all staff and is very well suited for this role,” he said.
As CHRAO, Ramos will provide direction and advocacy for PSHH’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, and the Human Resources, Information Technology, Office Operations, and Public Affairs departments, Trigueiro said.
She will help further strengthen collaboration across organizational functions that provide internal staff services along with innovative communication, infrastructure, and mission-focused solutions for PSHH team members and the communities it serves, he said.
“Over the past six years here at PSHH, I have felt consistently grateful for the incredible opportunity to partner with our innovative, mission-focused team members in developing programs and policies, and constantly looking for paths to evolve our practices to include all voices and perspectives,” said Ramos.
“People’s Self-Help Housing has become home for me, and I am honored to help foster that same feeling with current and future team members and the larger communities that we serve,” she said.
Since joining PSHH in 2017, Ramos has served as the PSHH director of human resources. Nicole has expanded and enriched the employee experience, for the now over 220 team members, through the adoption of enhanced benefit packages, hybrid work patterns, and internal paths for career development.
Ramos lives in San Luis Obispo.
