People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH) staff have elected two new representatives to steward funds of the Resident Assistance Fund (RAF). They are Colleen Plevel, project coordinator for Multifamily Housing Development, and Sophie Marsh, communications specialist.

Elected by a vote of their peers, Plevel and Marsh will serve on the RAF committee for a two-year term. They will work with the director of Neighborhood Development & Resident Services to ensure prudent management of the funds.

Recent requests made through the RAF include: funds for emergency medical procedures, payment of past-due utility bills, and food assistance during a period of lost-income.

“We are so grateful for continued gifts to the Resident Assistance Fund, much of which comes from our staff members who see the need every day,” said Rick Gulino, director of Neighborhood Development & Resident Services. “This program offers a direct way to support your neighbors in their most critical moments of need.

“It is powerful to think of the impact the RAF has had throughout these past 20 years.”

The RAF is made possible through the support of hundreds of community supporters. To make a gift and support this need, or to learn more about the deep needs facing the community’s most vulnerable residents, visit pshhc.org/resident-assistance-fund.
