To celebrate the dog days of summer Lompoc Parks and Recreation is hosting an end-of-summer Pooch Plunge, 3:30-5 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Lompoc Aquatic Center.
Pet owners must pre-register for each pup and provide proof of vaccination (distemper, parvo and rabies). The fee to participate is $10 per pooch.
There will be limited drop-ins accepted the day of the event, although space is limited.
Preregistration can be done at the Anderson Recreation Center, 125 W. Walnut Ave., Lompoc. Registration form and event rules are also available online at www.cityoflompoc.com/recreation.
