An unplanned power outage affected 2,363 PG&E customers in the Solvang area Friday afternoon.

The outage was reported at 5:12 p.m., according to the company’s Outage Map.

No additional information, or an expected restoration time, was available.

The Santa Ynez Valley and the rest of the county has been dealing with an ongoing heat wave and high humidity that is expected to lessen this weekend into next week.

Public safety power shutoffs are not expected for PG&E customers, but Southern California Edison customers in South County could have outages.

SCE said the shutoffs are possible through Monday due to weather-related fire risk, specifically for the Gaviota Coast and Highway 154 corridor communities.
